Wilson is the founder of the WR Aerobatics Team. In only 3 years of being in the hobby, Wilson has achieved what many would take years to do, not only flying, but promoting the hobby itself. Wilson has visited numerous competitions in the US, including the JR Challenge and the Tucson Aerobatic Shootout. Co-webmaster of one of the biggest sites dedicated to IMAC, ScaleAerobatics.com, which he promotes in the competitions just mentioned.

Due to his great personality and hospitality, he has developed a strong bond with professional pilots from the US, thereby getting them interested in promoting IMAC in Puerto Rico. This led him to making possible the biggest air show that Puerto Rico has seen: The Wild Ravens Extreme Airshow. The show just mentioned was a huge success, where professionals from the US came and left everyone in awe with their impressive maneuvers. The WR Aerobatic Team could not have gotten a better leader than Mr. Chaparro. Everybody in the team and in the hobby looks up to him as he prepares himself, along with several others from the team, to compete in upcoming international competitions like the Tucson Aerobatic Shootout this coming October.

Wilson is going to be competing in the 2006 Tucson Aerobatic Shootout. He is currently flying in the Sportsman category, and plans on flying Intermediate during the 2007 season. Representative for a local medicare company.

Today he flies a 42% Dalton Aviation Extra 260, powered by a DA-150 engine and MTW 110 canisters. JR 10X radio for guidance, along with JR 8611A servos, with a Fromeco battery system.

I was born in Boulder City, Nevada. At age 6, my grandfather and I climbed into a Cessna 172 where he proceeded to teach me to fly. I obtained my students' pilot's license in turn for sweeping various hangars at the Boulder City Airport.

Starting in models was very easy in the beginning due to a tremendous amount of support from my family. My father gave me the discipline necessary to continue the course of practice on a very regular basis. This practice regimen was confirmed by QuiQue Somenzini in 1996 when we met through Bob Godfrey. QuiQue and I became great friends from this experience. I called for QuiQue in 1999 and 2000 at the Tournament of Champions.

I took up golf at the age of eleven. I have attained Three State Titles including the 2000 High School State Championship during my Senior Year. Golf showed me that through persistence, one can achieve anything. This persistence and dedication awarded me Five National Titles in IMAC. Twice in Unlimited Pattern and Three Times in Freestyle. This would not have been possible without the help of many sponsors and friends. One of the best has been Tony Russo with Dalton Aviation. I met Tony in the summer of 2002. Since, he's been the person responsible for my success. Tony would fabricate amazing airplanes from start to finish in three weeks.
